JAA CPL(A) (JAA Approved)

The course material have been compiled specifically for home study with comprehensive , easily readable text with extensive worksheets for self testing and progress tests for the required assessments throughout the course.

The course is operated in a pro-active manner and our telephone, fax or email should be the first contact if candidates experience any problems. Our telephone service extends within reasonable ours to outside the normal working day and weekends.

Course Details:

The distance learning course is designed to be completed in three modules each consisting of approximately 120 hours of home study followed in each case by a 4 or 5 day classroom consolidation.

Module 1:
In this module the following subjects are studied:

Air Law
Meteorology
Human Performance & Limitations
VFR Communications
Followed by a 4 day consolidation

Module 2:
In this module the following subjects are studied:

General Navigation
Radio Navigation
Performance
Mass & Balance
Flight Planning
Followed by a 5 day consolidation

Module 3:
In this module the following subjects are studied:

Principles of Flight (A)
Aircraft General Knowledge
Operational Procedures
Followed by a 5 day consolidation

Course Entry Requirements:

Minimum age to commence theory training – not applicable (minimum age for licence issue 18 years)
Minimum licence requirement – PPL(A) issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1
Minimum academic standard – knowledge of basic aspects of mathematics and physics sufficient to meet the needs of the syllabus ( UK GCSE or equivalent are adequate). Adequate level of knowledge of English language

Credit For Previous Training

The holder of a non-JAA CPL(A) may undertake theoretical knowledge instruction as determined by the Head of Training of an approved training provider.

Total cost £1633 (inc VAT), this includes 3 classroom consolidation courses, payment is made in 6 stages as follows:
