Rates of learning vary from candidate to candidate but someone who is attempting to work seriously at the course should aim to dedicate about 10 to 15 hours per week to the course. A faster rate would suggest, for most people, that the subject matter is being covered too quickly whilst less than 5 hours per week means that the course is going to take too long and continuity becomes difficult. Prospective candidates will need to allocate sufficient time therefore to complete the coursework (say, 10 weeks), with additional time for self study revision (at least 2 weeks). In terms of time away from home the consolidation course (5 days) and attendance at the examination centre at Gatwick (2 days for Module 1 exams and 1 day for the Module 2 exams) needs to be scheduled. JAA Examinations Application for the examinations must be submitted through the school for countersignature. Payment of the examination fee should accompany the application form and may be by cheque or credit/debit card. Application forms can be obtained from the school or from the CAA web-site www.srg.caa.co.uk Examination charges are published in the CAA Scheme of Charges.
The total cost of the course is £1374 (including VAT) may be spread over the four phases of the course. Most credit cards are accepted. Cheques should be made payable to Ground Training Services Ltd. Breakdown
