We are an (CAA) Approved Flight Training Organisation based at Bournemouth International Airport, specialising in Distance Learning courses for the ATPL(A), CPL(A) and IR(A)(H).
Our comprehensive study manuals are written specifically for distance learning and are in an easy to read format. No other reference material is needed. Each course module has its own Study Guide giving detailed information on how to complete the course together with examination dates, pass rules and validity.
Providing personal support to our students throughout the course is high on our agenda. Consolidation/revision courses are taught by experienced and professional instructors and class numbers are restricted to ensure that every student receives the level of attention he or she needs. We also believe in providing our students with an understanding of the syllabus as well as thorough examination preparation.
All courses include free access to an on-line examination style question bank.
The success of our training methods is reflected in our high first time pass rates as well as the very positive feedback we receive from our students.
We observe a pay as you go policy with fees charged in stages. Payment may be made using most credit/debit cards or by cheque.
Ground Training Services Ltd was formed in November 2001 by Roger Henshaw, Peter Swatton and other colleagues as a specialist ground school providing high quality distance-learning and classroom instruction for the ATPL(A), CPL(A) and PPL/IR(A)
and (H). Peter and Roger are former RAF aircrew each with over 20 years of experience in commercial aviation instruction.
Peter is an acknowledged expert on Aeroplane Performance and as well as providing advice to the Civil Aviation Authority has also published books on Aeroplane Performance and Flight Planning.
